5-star review: I love the clothes that Eloquii sells. I never had a problem with the clothes itself. The sizes of the clothes are pretty spot on. The styles are great.
1-star review: However, if the past two months, I’ve consistently run into issues when trying to purchase items through the app. There was also the elimination and the reappearance of the love it list where you can basically save your wish list. The love it list does not appropriately load. It takes forever and then when it does load, you see multiple of the same item. Essentially it is useless. The app is great for browsing though.
2. ASOS Curve (via ASOS App)
ASOS Curve is part of the broader ASOS platform, offering trendy plus-size clothing options for fashion-forward individuals. Known for its extensive collection, the plus size clothing app provides everything from casual wear to formal outfits, making it a go-to destination for diverse styles.
Key Features:
- Exclusive discounts and offers for app users.
- “Style Match” feature for outfit inspiration from photos or screenshots.
- Notifications for back-in-stock items and order updates.
- Personalized edits based on user preferences and style.
5-star review: The best shopping app there is. So much useful functionality, it’s really quick, there are clear photos and videos, it’s easy to work out delivery…. Superb. A year later, it’s still the best. The ‘save/board’ functionality and then ‘moving to basket’ is so well designed.
1-star review: Deleted app as returns now a chore – I can’t just drop them in the post box, I have to go in and show a QR code whereas I use to be able to print. Quality of most items on par with shein and they have free and easier returns. Use to be good with loyalty programs for loyal customers like myself and better quality.
3. Torrid

- Focus on trendy designs that cater to younger audiences.
Top review: Die hard Torrid fan girl here. Shopped here for years and years, spent god knows how much. Believe me when I say this app is the most frustrating thing ever. If you are the type of person who clicks on the pictures to see them full screen this app isn’t for you. It refuses to load them and it white screens and there is no back button or anything to get out of the loading screen so you have to close he entire app and do your search all over again. Even when I tell myself not to click on the pictures I sometimes hit it while I’m scrolling and have to close the app again. Smh. Also, in the orders tab, if you wanted to look up one of the things you bought, it’s just a list with words.
4. Lane Bryant

5-star review: Very easy to use. And it’s got lots of great content. High-fives.
1-star review: Very slow to load new pages. I can shop at Lane Bryant via Google Chrome on my phone quicker than I can shop using this app.

5-star review: find that the range of clothes are fab. Good quality and fit. Nearest shop to me is over 20 miles away unfortunately!. However, went to Cardiff shop earlier in the year which was fab- spent loads!. Then in June was in torquey on holiday and shopped till I dropped. The ladies in the shop are very knowledgeable and welcoming, offering assistance throughout my visit. Keep up the good work !.
1-star review: I love the selection of clothes however I often need to just use the website because it works better than the app. The app always shows results that are out of stock completely and also clothes that are out of stock in your size even if you’ve used filters. It makes browsing much more difficult. In addition, it would be great if you would allow people to rate the products on the app/website once you buy! It kinda makes it seem like you’re worried what the feedback would be. Reviews from buyers are a big influence in what I choose to buy!
6. Cider
Cider is a globally-minded fashion brand that caters to trendsetters with affordable statement pieces in sizes up to 4X. The app emphasizes social media integration to create a community-driven shopping experience.

- Early access to new drops, flash sales, and exclusive deals via push notifications.
- Shopping by mood or trend with wishlist functionality for saved favorites.
- Secure checkout with multiple payment methods and instant order tracking.
- Global shipping to over 100 countries with affordable pricing options.
5-star review: Many options, sizes and good quality although a few misses (Shein quality). Overall, pleased with purchases and return policy since online shopping carries risk of clothes not fitting the way you want despite size information. The app user interface is good, the consistency of how the clothes are digitally displayed are good. The reviews with picture from buyers help to visualise what the clothes look like on people. Overall, would reccomend CIDER if you’re looking to expand wardrobe.
1-star review: Stained, poor material, overpriced clothes. They make it hard for you to return. First time, I ordered 3 things. I had to return 2 of them. They make returning difficult for you.
After exploring these plus size clothing apps, it’s clear that while they offer inspiration, they’re not perfect solutions for every seller. Many platforms still struggle with limited size ranges, inconsistent fits, and a lack of real inclusivity, despite marketing themselves as plus-size-friendly. Additionally, high competition and platform fees can make it challenging for small sellers to stand out. While these apps provide insights, they also highlight the gaps in the market—which could be an opportunity for you to create something even better.
