What can you do about the situation in which your customers accidentally “forget” to finish the check-out process even though a lot of reminders have been sent? The quickest way to get you out of the polluted and confused back-end of uncompleted orders is to manually cancel them.
Firstly, go to Magento Admin Panel > Sales > Orders, from there you can have access to all of your uncompleted orders.
Secondly, choose the order that you want to manually cancel by clicking on View on the left right side. From there, you can see all the details of that order:
You can quickly Cancel it and then reconfirm the decision to Magento by ticking the box OK.
That’s it, you’ve just canceled an uncompleted order!
Alternatively, you can also cancel orders by bulk by ticking on the orders that you want to cancel:
And choose Actions > Cancel (note that there will be no confirmation box this way)
Typically we recommend manually cancelling your orders by bulk as it’s faster this way, however the per-order method can come to be useful at times when you need to view the specifics of an order.
Alternatively, you can use an extension to greatly simplify the process.
We hope this tutorial could be of help to you. If you found that there was anything wrong in the process, don’t hesitate to shoot us a feedback in the comment section below!
