Funhub, which proudly operating within South Africa, offers a diverse selection of products to ensure “There’s something for everyone”. From the latest gadgets and kitchen appliances to stylish clothing, solar solutions, and a wide range of pet and baby products, Funhub brings convenience and variety to the customer shopping experience.

CHALLENGES

Recognizing the growing importance of mobile shopping, Funhub began planning a mobile app in July to enhance the customer experience further. 

Understanding that a seamless and engaging mobile platform is crucial for retaining and growing their customer base, they have been actively searching for the right Shopify app to bring their vision to life. Their commitment to delivering fun, functionality, and satisfaction drives their ongoing efforts to innovate and expand.

  1. Improvement of the mobile app’s user interface: 

Funhub was focused on creating a user-friendly mobile app menu but encountered some challenges with the icon image format and image choice. 

Understanding the importance of a seamless user experience, our team stepped in to assist. We suggested a new set of menu icons in the correct format (transparent PNG files), ensuring they were both clear and easy to navigate. 

Going above and beyond, we proactively identified an issue with the first promotion banner on the homepage— the original file was not uploaded in proper size & format, so it appears relatively out of place compared to the rest of the page. To address this, we recommended the optimal file size and format to ensure a high-quality display. 

By implementing these changes, we enhanced the visual appeal and professionalism of the app , making it much more attractive and easy to navigate. Funhub was pleased with the upgraded look and the improved user experience.

  1. Customer service that goes above and beyond

Funhub needed a review section on their in-app product pages to showcase the amazing reviews they got from customers. While we had yet to offer this feature at the time, fortunately, it had already been planned in our product roadmap. However, the challenge arises when our current update plan does not align with Funhub’s urgent expectation for the mobile app launch. 

In face of this challenge, and with our principle to always prioritize customers’ needs, SimiCart has promptly adjusted the update timeline and made it transparent to Funhub so both can reach a mutual expectation for the product. 

In the end, we quickly completed the integration in half the estimated time while ensuring constant updates. Funhub was thankful for our quick action and proactive communication, which ensured that we stayed on track and delivered a valuable feature ahead of schedule.
